Sen. Ted KAUFMAN will host a federal job fair in Wilmington on Monday featuring representatives of about 25 federal government agencies, the military and private companies.

There will be seminars on how to fill out federal applications, and tips on conducting an effective job search in a difficult market.

"Jobs have always been priority No. 1 for me," said KAUFMAN, who is not running for re-election. "This is something we've been working on for quite some time and I'm proud that we've been able to secure such a wide array of agencies and organizations to participate."

Organizations that will be in attendance will be the U.S. Census Bureau, the Social Security Administration, Sallie Mae, Comcast, Wachovia Bank and JC Ehrlich Pest Control.

This is the last of the events in the "KAUFMAN Summer Series," which links federal agencies with local businesses and organizations, helping them learn how to obtain federal funding, and help Delawareans find jobs.

On Monday, Theresa Ellerbe of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management will hold seminars at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on how to apply for federal jobs using www.usajobs.gov.

And at noon, Joyce Dungee-Proctor of Apple One Employment Services will guide employees through the complete job search process, from résumé writing to interview techniques.
